Amaç: Bu çalışmada hemşirelerde, tükenme, iş doyumu ve ruhsal belirtiler ile çeşitli sosyodemografik ve mesleksel değişkenler arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışmaya ÇÜTF Hastanesi'nde çalışan 205 hemşire alınmıştır. Çalışmada Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği, İş Doyumu Ölçeği ve Kısa Semptom Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar: Sonuçlar bekar ve daha genç olan hemşirelerde tükenmenin daha yüksek düzeylerde olduğunu göstermiştir. Çalışma süresi, dönüşümlü ya da yalnız gündüz çalışma ve günlük uyku saaÎLile duygusal tükenme, duyarsızlaşma, kişisel başarı, iş doyumu ve ruhsal belirti düzeyleri arasında ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yoğun bakım ya da ilk yardım polikliniklerinde çalışan hemşirelerde duygusal tükenme, duyarsızlaşma ve ruhsal belirti düzeyleri daha yüksek, iş doyumu ise daha düşüktür. Meslekten olumlu beklentisi olanların duygusal tükenme, duyarsızlaşma ve ruhsal belirti düzeyleri daha yüksektir. Kendilerine güç gelen yaşam olayı olarak "işi" bildirenlerde de duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşmanın daha yoğun, kişisel başarı ve iş doyumunun daha düşük düzeylerde yaşandığı bulunmuştur. Değerlendirme: Meslekte yeni olma, bekarlık, dönüşümlü çalışma, uykuya az süre ayırma, yoğum bakım ya da ilk yardım polikliniklerinde çalışma ve meslekten beklenti tükenme, iş doyumu ve ruhsal belirtilerle ilişkili bulunmuştur.

Aim: The present study was undertaken to investigate the relationships between burnout, job satisfaction, psychiatric symptoms, and sociodemographic and work-related variables of nurses.
Method: The sample consisted of 205 nurses who worked at the ÇÜTF Hospital. Maslach Burnout Inventory, Job Satisfaction Inventory and Brief Symptom Inventory were used. Results: Results indicated that the single and younger nurses showed higher burnuot levels. [year]s of experience, shift-work and daily sleeping hours were found to be related with emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment, job satisfaction and psychiatric symptoms. Critical care and emergency room nurses had higher levels of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and psychiatric symptoms and lower levels of job satisfaction. The nurses who reported they were optimistic and had positive expectancies from their job, had lower levels of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and psychiatric symptoms, and higher levels personal accomplishment and job satisfaction. The nurses who reported work-related problems as the major stressor in their life experienced higher levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, and lower levels personal accomplishment and job satisfaction. Discussion: [year]s of experience, singleness, shift work, daily sleeping hours, work at the critical care or emergency room and expectancies from job were found to be related with 0Srnout, job satisfaction and psychiatric symptoms.
