Bu yazıda psikiyatri biliminin elinde bulunan ve global denge teorilerinin etkinliğine paralel bir şekilde önemi gün geçtikçe artan bir klinik ve araştırma metodolojisi olarak Bilgisayarla EEG ve ona bağlı olarak Kantitatif Farmako EEG (Quantitative Pharmaco-EEG : QPEEG) konu edilmektedir. Ve şu hususlar üzerinde durulmaktadır:
1. İnsan normal ve anormal davranışları beyin fonksiyonları ve bu fonksiyonlarda m eydana gelen değişmelerle izah edilebilir.
2. EEG insan beyin fonksiyonlarının sürekli ve spontan bir şekilde analiz edileblimesi için kullanılabilecek önemli bir vasıtadır.
3. İnsan psikopatolojisi üzerinde etkisi olan bütün ilaçlar EEG de anlamlı değişiklere sebep olurlar.
4. EEG değişiklikğinin şekli ile psikotropik ilacın terapötik spektrumu arasında yakın bir ilişki vardır.
5. Tek dozdan sonra meydana gelen EEG değişiklikleri ile multipl dozdan sonra olanlar birbirine çok benzerler.
6. Konvansiyonel EEG de herhangibir psikiyatrik fenomene spesifik patern tespit edilemez ama EEGnin kantifikasyonu böyle bir imkanı sağlar.
Quantitative Pharmaco-EEG (I)
This article is concerned with the computerized EEG and Quantitative Pharmaco EEG methodologies considered as diagnostik and research tools in the field of psychiatry. They have ag rowing interest in parallel with the consid erable insuence of the global balance theories about understanding the subtle aspects of normal and abnormal human behavior. In this study, following points will be highlighted;
1. Human behavior and its deviations are related to human brain function and its changes.
2. EEG is an important m ethod for recording spontaneous and continous brain function.
3. All drugs effec tive in human pschopathologypro duce significant alterations in scalp-recorded EEG.
4. There are close correlations between the type of EEG changes and the the rapeutic spectrum of psychotropic drugs.
5. Remarkable smiiarities exist in the quality of EEG a lterations in duced by the administration of single and multiple drug dosages.
6. No pathog nomonic conventional EEG findings have been established for certain psychopathological states. But, based on systematic studies using computer analyzed EEG, this could be created.
